Nach der erfolgreichen MegaEvent Probe im letzten Jahr, möchten wir Euch zum zweiten Berliner MegaEvent einladen!

Erneut geht es in eine Lost-Place Location: Das Event findet im Motorwerk statt, bekannt auch unter dem Namen Halle Weißensee. Erbaut wurde das Gebäude 1910 von Emil Ziehl, der dort die ersten polumschaltbaren Aufzugmotoren fertigen ließ. Mit dem Ende des 2. Weltkrieges wurden dort bis zur Wende Kondensatoren hergestellt.

1991 fand dort mit 5000 Menschen der allererste „Mayday“ Deutschlands statt. Noch heute ist diese Veranstaltung jedes Jahr ein Großereignis. Damals standen dort DJs wie Westbam, Sven Väth und Marusha an den Plattentellern. Es gibt kaum jemanden der die damalige Titelmelodie der „Mayday“ nicht kennt. Dort wurde Elektro-Geschichte im mehrfachen Sinn geschrieben. Nun wollen wir mit Euch dort Geschichte schreiben!		 Last year our trial MegaEvent in Berlin was a huge success, and we received lots of enthusiastic feedback. So this year we would like to invite you to attend our 2nd Berlin MegaEvent!

Once again we are happy to show you a Lost Place location: The 2014 MegaEvent will take place in the Motorwerk, also known as Die Halle Weissensee. The factory was built in 1910 for Emil Ziehl, who developed and built the first electrical pole-changeable elevator (lift) engines there. After World War II, until the end of the GDR era, condensers were manufactured instead.

In 1991, Germany's first "Mayday" electronic music festival took place in this building. Even today this annual event is a big affair. Famous DJs, such as Westbarn, Sven Väth and Marusha, performed here at the first festival. There was hardly anybody who didn't know the popular title song "Mayday." This is where electronic music history was made, in more than one sense. Now we want to write our own history here, together with you!
