שתי אמות מים מגיעות אל קיסריה. האמה הגבוהה נבנתה בימי הורדוס ( כ 10 שנה לפנה"ס). מטרתה היתה לספק את כל צרכי המים של תושבי העיר: ברזים, מזרקות, בתי מרחץ. אורך האמה 23 ק"מ והיא מורכבת בעצם משלוש תעלות שנבנו בתקופות שונות. לדוגמא, שיפוע אחת התעלות הוא 16 ס"מ על ק"מ, והיא יכלה להעביר 930 מ"ק מים בשעה. מי האמה מגיעים ממעיינות שומי וממעיין צברין. על גבי האמה נמצאו 10 כתובות, 8 מהן של לגיונות רומיים מזמנו של הדריאנוס (מרד בר-כוכבא). כתובת אחרת היא משנת 385 בה מסופר על תיקון האמה.
בתקופה הביזנטית (300 לספה"נ) גדלה אוכלוסיית קיסריה כבירת פלסטינה פרימה והגיעה לשיא גודלה. תושבי העיר נזקקו למקור מים נוסף. לצורך כך נבנתה האמה הנמוכה שראשיתה במעיינות כברה הנמצאים כ-5 ק"מ צפונית לקיסריה. מכיוון שהמעיינות הם בגובה נמוך, בנו הרומאים שני סכרים שיצרו בריכה מוגבהת. אמה זו יכלה להעביר 2,500 מ"ק מים בשעה. האמה התחתונה בנויה על פני השטח, ללא הגבהה וללא קשתות. היא מחופה כולה על-ידי אבנים ששמרו על נקיון המים, אך ישנם מקומות בהם החיפוי קרס וניתן לראות את פנים האמה.

Two aqueducts were built for Caesarea. The upper aqueduct was probably built by Herod (about 10 BC; although some suggest that it was built after Herod's time). Its aim was to supply the water needs of the town citizens that included water faucets, fountains and bath houses. The aqueduct is 23 km. long and consists of 3 canals that were built at different times, one adjacent to (or on top of) the other. For instance, the first canal could supply 930 cube meters of water per hour, using a slope of 16 cm per km.
In the Byzantine era (300 AC) the population of Caesarea grew and reached its peak. The citizens needed more water. They therefore built an additional aqueduct—lower than the first—that would bring water from 5 km. north. Alas, the springs were located too low, so the builders built two dams to create a pool that raised the water level, allowing it to flow 2,500 cube meters of water per hour through the aqueduct. This lower aqueduct is built on the ground, with no arches. It has a stone ceiling that kept the water clean. This ceiling has now collapsed here and there, enabling us to see the inside of the aqueduct.
