The venue for the June Meeting is "The Rose and Crown Pub" at Perry Wood near Selling Saturday 21st June 12 Midday to 3pm. Perry Wood is a bit off the beaten track but not that far from the M2 in reality. The Pub has a large garden, so hopefully in June the weather will be suitable to sit outside. There is a car park but in the event of this being full (highly likely) I recommend using the large Woodland car park which is close by. I will post parking coordinates on this page closer to the date.
Eating at the pub is not a problem but it would be good to be able to give an indication of the numbers that might require food, so please indicate this in the logs.
There are already a few caches in the nearby woods. There are also a number of other caches close by that can be grabbed on the way in or out or by just extending your walk.
All being well there will be a little circuit of additional caches put out around the full area of Perry Wood.
Smart Phones do work in the area but the Signal can be weak in places. I recommend using a proper GPS device but will investigate Wifi at the pub for publication purposes!!
As it is very easy to get lost around the Selling area I Suggest the following map aqua3 OS Explorer 149 Sittingbourne & Faversham or equivalent.
