An offset multi that will involve a short walk along the village street.
Cache is smaller than a film pot containing the log only.
Chitterne was originally two parishes,St Mary's and All Saints.
There has been a church here since 1319. The current building of which only the chancel remains is thought to be from about 1450.
The two churches were amalgamated in 1861 when the current church was built. Both of the original churches were demolished apart from the chancels.All Saints chancel has been subsequently demolished.
St Mary's is now a chapel of ease. It is now used as a mortuary chapel and occasionally for services.
Both St Mary's and All Saints graveyards are still in use as there is no graveyard at the new church due to the dampness of the surrounding land.
The parish council comprises five representatives from All Saints and two from St Mary's.
If the chancel is open when you visit it is well worth a look inside.
The co ordinates lead you to a monument in memory of George Richards,vicar of Chitterne.

There is a grass path and pavement on the way to the cache but the last section is on the street,hence the attributes.
