While in Ubud you can eat (there are lots of great places to eat), pray (there are many temples big and small) and of course geocache. You can do lots of other stuff too like shop, get a massage, practice yoga, take a cooking class, take in some traditional Balinese dance or buy some unique local arts and crafts. For partying or lounging on the beach you are best advised to head to Kuta or Sanur.
