Meet at the above coordinates at 9:00 AM. This is the gate to the easement that gets us to where we will clean up. We'll drive as a group to our designated parking area. We'll have a quick briefing about the place. We'll have waivers to sign that basically says don't get hurt, and if you do it's your own fault.
We'll walk from the parking area to a small pond. On the way to the pond you will pass many plants that will try to poke you, and I don't mean just cactus and mesquite. So be forewarned - odds are that some time while you are here some plant is going to poke you. Wear appropriate clothing. There are no paved trails, so you're going to have to walk on a trail that isn't much more than a cleared up a bit deer trail. You may encounter mud, loose rocks, sticks, and all sorts of other tripping hazards that may cause you to twist an ankle. Wear appropriate shoes.
There is a bit of trash to pick up, but I don't imagine it will take us too long if a bunch of people show up. All the trash collected will be moved to one collection point so that could take some time. Regardless, the plan calls for us to be out at 11:30. I think we can have the area done by then.
So come join us for a couple of hours on a Saturday morning doing nature some good, earning a smiley and souvenir, and having a good time.
