The Surrey events have been inspired by the success of the Sussex and Hampshire meets and are nominally held on the fourth Thursday of every month. They are organized by local cachers and can be held anywhere in the county of Surrey. There will be the normal opportunity to swap and discover Travel Bugs and Geocoins. It's a great way to meet fellow cachers and share caching stories (or even pick up a few hints for those puzzles).
Geocaching Pub Quiz
We intend to hand out a quiz based on caching questions, mostly on SURREY caching. Entry will be for teams of 2 or 3 PEOPLE (not usernames). Last quiz issued at 8:15pm. Answers will be revealed at 8:30pm and hopefully the travel bug prize will be awarded before 9pm.
Team entries sent to me by email arriving before 7am on Wednesday March 26th with a list of names and a team name will get an extra "early entry" point. Early entries including a question that gets used in the quiz will get an extra point. Early entries including a unique question that gets used will get an extra two points (along with already knowing the anwser to the question). Maximum one question's bonus points.
It is assumed that the quiz will be answered from general knowledge rather than from using a smartphone. Selected questions MAY (to be decided) allow use of a smartphone. Honesty is requested and assumed.
The quiz is optional.
