Geocache Description:

This "Hoosac Range" series is placed.. Yup along the Hoosac range trail. This trail goes about about 3 miles then connects to Busby trail which continues on another 1.5 miles.

This trail goes about about 3 miles then connects to Busby trail (visit link) which continues on another 1.5 miles. Near the trail intersection make the side trip to another existing cache (not winter friendly) then continue another 200' +/- to a great view. Somewhere near #10 the trail crosses over the Hoosac tunnel 1,700' below.

These caches should all be very easy and winter friendly, although a couple are only 2.5-3' high so may be hidden if there is a lot of snow. Lots of thorns along this trail and a couple of narrow areas especially near #10 (be VERY careful in the winter, the trail had a few deep snow drifts)

The 1st cache of this series is about 1 mile in past a few existing caches.

Permission was given by Berkshire Natural Resource Council. For a Topo trail map visit them at (visit link) and use the search for "hoosac range" ( their map link does not have the Hoosac range so you need to use the search)

I left a few Path Tags and an unactivated Berkshire Geobash3 trackable in random locations

** Congratulations to Orion (and Linus) on FTF closely followed by FKROL (and Kasey) Both are a little crazy going for this on a windy 5 degree morning with over 12" of fresh snow **
