The Loxahatchee River, which was named a National Wild and Scenic River in 1985 (the first in Florida), runs through the park.
Cacheapalooza 9 will be a fun filled weekend of Geocaching in beautiful and mysterious Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Along with the caching, we are also planning many other fun activities and presentations for you to enjoy. We will have many new loggable geocaches hidden in this diverse 11,500-acre park. There will be traditional caches of various difficulty and terrain ratings, and other types of cache hides as well.
