Trash & Treasures: Earth Day Stewardship Event '14 Cache In Trash Out Event

The Outdoor Classroom and the Pittsburgh Area Geocaching Association (PAGA) are all geared up to build on last year's amazing 4.7 tons of trash removed from the park during our first joint CITO last year!  In celebration of Earth Day 2014 we'll offer a variety of possible stewardship activities like removal of additional old farm debris, garden preparation and staining of the Classroom office's porch.  Cachers and muggles of all ages are welcome.

The day will begin with hot drinks and in introduction to the day’s activities by the new Program Administrator/Volunteer Coordinator of The Outdoor Classroom at 8:00 AM.  We’ll divide into work groups and start on the day’s activities.  Cachers are encouraged to bring a pot luck item to share and the Classroom will supply pizza at 12:00 PM.  We already have prizes donated from PAGA and RHPromo!  Door prizes, food and group photo will be done at 12:30 PM and the day will end at 2:00 PM.
