Geocache Description:

Novi stalni postav Muzeja nudi cjeloviti pregled feudalnog Hrvatskog zagorja jer su povijest, kultura i svakodnevnica toga doba obrađeni kroz nekoliko tema.

Petric Kerempuh is a literary character who appears in several literary works and the most famous are the "Ballads of Petrica Kerempuha"(Balade Petrice Kerempuha) of well-known Croatian writer Miroslav Krleža. Petrica Kerempuh is the people's prophet and cynical commentator of contemporary events.  The literal meaning of "kerempuh" means "intestine, stomach," and metaphorically means cunning man, merrymaker,…

'Petric and Galženjaki (Petrica and hanged man)', a statue, an original sculpture in bronze by Vanja Radauš out in 1973. year.

Made in the year of the opening of the Museum of Peasant Uprisings (Muzej seljačkih buna) in Upper Stubica (Gornja Stubica) where today is located. The position of sculpture in Gornja Stubica was chosen by the author, and sculpture is considered one of his major works. A second, identical sculpture, also original, is located in Zagreb, Dolac.

Area of statue is roughly treated, full of sudden and sharp parts, without extreme smoothness. Contrast between Petrice Kerempuha and two two hanged man( Galženjaci) is seen in the processing and thematic. The figure Petrica, who is standing and playing guitar is smoother and more graceful, while hanged man (Galženjaci)have  rougher and sharper surface, and their form and position suggest suffering and pain.
