Ruislip Methodist Church opened in 1923, services having previously been held at the Poplars, a pretty Georgian house built in 1774 but demolished in 1929 to make way for shops on the corner of Ickenham Road and the High Street. The original church building is now the hall to the new church designed by George Baines & Syborn and opened in 1963.
