The station was built on the Wirral Railways route from Birkenhead Park to New Brighton, opening in 1907 under the name Leasowe Road. Through services via the Mersey Railway Tunnel to Liverpool commenced in 1938, when the London, Midland and Scotish Railway electrified the line. The station was rebuilt following extensive damage during World War II.
This cache is placed on a very very busy road and wont be easy to get to, so please be very very careful with mini geocachers and geo hounds. There is also very limited parking in the cache area so a short walk will be required.
