"This Sculpture, known as Equus Altus, is situated in the central atrium of the Leeds Trinity Centre, stands at 15 metres tall and weighs in at an impressive 2 tonnes. It was created by a Glaswegian artist. The design of the sculpture is a reference to the pack horses that used to be employed during Leeds' industrial days." - Leeds Art Gallery Online
"This Sculpture, known as Equus Altus, wields a commanding view over the Leeds Trinity Centre, underneath which there will be a Meet & Greet & (hopefully) Eat Geocaching event on the 8th February 2014 at 1700. Its central, indoor location provides much needed shelter in the likely event of the Yorkshire Rains and will nicely suit an extended event due to the abundance of restaurants and watering establishments nearby" - THE_Chris, renowned Dublin Geocacher.
So come and meet two tired and hungry Geocachers from Dublin on the ground floor of the Leeds Trinity Centre, underneath the Equus statue to say hello, swap and discover travel bugs & geocoins and chat about the hobby. We'll be at the location from 1700 to 1730. Hopefully there will be a bit more than just a simple meet and greet involved. Please note the co-ordinates are for the Trinity Centre itself... we are meeting under the statue.
At approximately 1730, after the event-proper we will be hungry/thirsty and would be interested in joining the local cachers for grub somewhere nearby. We will probably have to leave Leeds at 1930 for a 2125 flight, so there will be plenty of time for food.
