Geocache Description:

Slovenski opis:

Najprej prvo in drugo besedo (C). Nato še predzadnjo in zadnjo (D).

Naj nas avtobus popelje proti vasem in mestom.

Saj sedaj že vemo, kje moramo izstopiti, kajneda?

English (translation by Dulsineja):

It is hard to imagine today that only about half a century ago one of the main transport means was the bus, as the car waiting in front of the house or flat can take us virtually anywhere. The bus used to connect more remote areas with towns and cities. For Jezersko, a mountain village that belongs to Carinthia according to its land border in the Kokra river valley, the bus was most often the only link with the world. Local people used the bus to go to work even as far as Ljubljana, while mountaineers had the Grintovci mountain range much closer due to the bus line. In the morning, the bus stops along the route were full of people waiting for the bus to drive up from around the corner, and the crowd on the bus was sometimes excruciating. And according to the starting point or the final destination of the bus line, this one got the name »jezerjan«, or »jezərjən«, if we follow the local dialect.

So let's wake up in the morning, take a warm cup of milk and a slice of home-baked bread, and head for the bus station. We are a bit early. The bus door is still closed, so let's take a few steps around the spot, not to be bored waiting. Right opposite the station there's a lot of interesting stuff. But don't just cross the road anyplace. Take the pedestrian crossing called zebra for its white and especially nice black stripes in between (A). Have a look at the monument to the times of a long-gone craziness, which is standing on stone pillars (B) and is cutely covered with a roof. The upper memorial plaque tells to whom the monument is dedicated. Read slowly, letter by letter. First read the first two words (C). Then read the last two words (D). Passing by the flag stands (E) let's go to a small park. If it is not too cold it's possible to sit on one of the nearby benches (F) or drink water from the taps (G). After that have a look at the signpost made out of a storm-beaten tree with several tops (H). It shows towards several destinations around this heaven beneath mountains. Those on the right-hand (northern) side of the signpost (I) seem especially attractive. But today there is no time to visit them. The bus door is already open and let's hurry back to the station not to miss the departure.

The bus driver has closed the door and soon we are to leave. The bus is going to take us towards villages and towns. We'll be going along the Jezernica river, followed by the Kokra, and we'll be curiously watching whether someone is entering at the next bus stop or the driver will just pass by it with unabated speed. But where is our bus stop? Where do we have to get off? Maybe it would be better if we checked the timetable? But the excitement of the journey into the unknown is thrilling, so let's give ourselves over to it.

But what if you fall asleep and miss the right bus stop? You'd better keep yourself busy with something. Let's do some calculating and counting to keep you awake during the gentle sway.

WP1 - 46 23.BAF 14 29.AFA - How many bus timetables (U) are there at the station?

WP2 - 46 23.EIE 14 28.CHE - How many benches (V) are there in the hut?

WP3 - 46 22.DGG 14 28.GFA - Nearby there is a signpost marking the road. What is the sum (W) of the numbers in the last line?

WP4 - 46 21.HCA 14 28.FID - Nearby there is a blue signpost. How many letters (Z) are there?

WP5 - 46 20.EDA 14 29.GEI - On the hut there is a wooden signpost. How many letters (X) make up the lower word?

WP6 - 46 19.BIG 14 29.IGB - Nearby again, there is a signpost marking the road you're about to take. Beside the yellow field there is a four-digit number. What is the sum (Y) of the digits?

WP7 - 46 19.GHG 14 29.CCI - On the hut there is a round signpost. How many letters (Q) make up the lower word?

That's it. Noone has fallen asleep. And the right bus stop is already very close. Now you already know where you have to get off the bus, right?
