Geocache Description:

Hampshire Monthly Mid-Week Meet #62

Wednesday 12th February 2014 from 6pm onwards

The Heron, Petersfield Rd, Havant, PO9 2EN

The Heron is located immediately next to the main Havant to Rowlands Castle road, but the car park entrance lies round the side in Stockheath Rd. There is a large car park at the pub but, if this is full, overflow parking is available at the Leigh Park Baptist church next door and on nearby streets.

This is a large open-plan pub which has just been extensively refurbished and modernised.
A very comprehensive and reasonably priced menu is available, and I suggest that you might like to have a look at it on-line prior to the Meet (see top of this page).

The land-lady (Kathy) is reserving one whole end of the pub for our use, so please turn left when entering the main door. Children are allowed into some of our reserved area but please note that the area around the Pool Table and Darts Board is “adults only” and children will be asked to leave it.

The traditional wooden chest will be available for the dropping off, swapping and discovering of Geocoins and Travel Bugs.

There will be the usual raffle with 15 prizes on offer, totalling around £100 in value.
Those of you who have attended previous Hampshire events will not need reminding to bring enough change to get plenty of raffle tickets!

If you have not been to an Event Cache before, then do please feel free to come along.

If you would like to experience something different, and have the chance to meet other cachers, then don't worry that you might not know anybody.

We don't bite, and you can be assured of a warm welcome!   We hope that seeing as this event is in SE Hampshire on the West Sussex border, that cachers from there and further afield will come along and meet cachers they don't normally bump into.   These events are great for the caching chit-chat and to get some great tips and hints on those unsolved puzzle caches.

Rod and Chris from “thekennelat79” will be there from around 6pm, so do come and say “hello” to them.

See you there.
