Esta é a música de abertura do album de 1979 dos AC/DC também chamado "Highway to Hell". A música foi inicialmente lançada como single em 1979. Foi escrita por Angus Young, Malcolm Young e Bon Scott, com Malcolm Young como autor do riff para guitarra que se tornou imediatamente um clássico. Os AC/DC fizeram vários albuns de estúdio antes e andavam constantemente em tour para a sua promoção, referido por Angus Young como estando numa auto-estrada para o inferno. A música está em #258 na lista da revista Rolling Stone das 500 Melhores canções de todos os tempos. O álbum com o mesmo nome foi o último que contou com a presença do cantor principal Bon Scott, que morreu no início do ano seguinte por excesso de consumo de álcool. Em 25 de Maio de 2006, o álbum Highway to Hell foi certificado 7x Platina pela RIAA. Em 2003, o álbum ficou no #200 na lista da revista Rolling Stone dos 500 melhores álbuns de todos os tempos.

HIGHWAY TO HELL
This is the opening track of AC/DC's 1979 album Highway to Hell. It was initially released as a single in 1979. It was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young and Bon Scott, with Malcolm Young credited for writing the guitar riff which became an instant classic. AC/DC had made several studio albums before and were constantly promoting them via a grueling tour schedule, referred to by Angus Young as being on a highway to hell. The song is #258 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. The album with the same name was the last featuring lead singer Bon Scott, who died early the following year from over-consumption of alcohol. On 25 May 2006, the album Highway to Hell was certified 7x Platinum by the RIAA. In 2003, the album was ranked number 200 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
