This section of Highway 1 was recently shut down, replaced by the Tom Lantos Tunnels for traffic heading between San Francisco and the coast towards Half Moon Bay. Instead of destroying the highway, the authorities turned it into a coastal walking and bicycling trail with spectacular views of the ocean, cliffs, and rocks below. You may have traveled this section of road many times by car or motorcycle, now come to see it at a walking/bicycling pace.
The Bubsidoodles cache, which is being named in honor of our energetic grandmother who trekked out here on her 70th birthday visit, is the first cache along the Devil’s Slide Coast Trail. There's a bit of a walk to get to the cache from either parking lot, and there are some small-ish up and down slopes. Once you get near GZ, though, the hide is just on the side of the road in the safer direction. The container is a small Lock-n-Lock. Please note that the cache no longer uses Velcro due to weather/muggle attack.
The box is suitable for small travel bugs.
