Coxheath is a large village to the south of Maidstone, built on the Greensand Ridge overlooking the Weald of Kent to the south and the Kent Downs to the north. The Greensand Way runs along the ridge on the outskirts of the village. Coxheath is situated to the west of the A229 (Chatham to Maidstone) road and is to be found either side of the B2163 running from Leeds to Teston. Coxheath has a thriving commercial community, based originally on fruit faming. The village boasts a range of shops, a restaurant, a cafe, two medical practices, a dental surgery, a primary school, a modern library, a church, a public house, a purpose-built village hall and open spaces for sport and recreation.
The church was built in 1884 as the chapel to the Workhouse and the former Linton Hospital at Coxheath and became the Parish church for the village in 1996 following the hospital's closure and falls under the Diocese of Rochester The church can be found on the main Heath Road through the community of Coxheath. Inside the church can be found a number of interesting and beautiful stained glass windows. Holy Trinity Church holds regular religious services and festivals throughout the year. There is limited car parking at the church and in the village.
