EarthCache 10th Birthday
EarthCache 10th Birthday

Join other cachers celebrating the true 10th birthday of EarthCaches - 10 January 2014.
Events are being run around the globe (map link).

On the 10th of January 2004 on a headland 3 hrs south of Sydney, Australia the very first EarthCache was 'placed' by geoaware and his two daughters. EarthCache I - a simple geology tour of Wasp Head sat for two weeks before it was found by Tankengine.

Event starts at 7:00 PM sharp, and ends at 7:30 PM!
A short 30 minute gathering, Rain or Shine!
Gather up under my Geocaching Flag TB !

Event plan: (Only 30 minutes long!)
7:00 PM : Gather up quickly at the posted coords, in front of the Puddingstone cutaway. Sign log sheet, and pick up a raffle ticket.
7:10 PM : Raffle!
7:25 PM : Take a group picture! And then split up!

Located within walking distance from the MBTA Green Line E branch "Science Park (Accessible)" & "Lechmere (Accessible)" stations. Parking is available at the Museum's adjacent on-site garage with a fee, metered street parking can be found around the North Point Park just across the street, and also free parking is available along the Cambridge Parkway to the South within walking distance. Please refer to the additional "Parking" waypoints below.
