Geocache Description:

I became a fan of night caches after I had completed the (unfortunately no longer active) Dark Trail of Ridler & Cmokica. Inspired by this and some other great geocaching adventures in the dark, I decided to set up my own night-multi.

I named this multi-cache Brown Trail for the following reason:

After you have finished this night walk, your shoes and the lower part of your trousers will most likely be brown. The trails in this forest are often quite muddy, so come prepared and wear solid shoes. I recommend sturdy hiking boots.

Important: Read the following description carefully, before you head into the woods! Or print it out and take it with you. Otherwise you might get lost.

This multi-cache has four stages, including the starting point and the final.

2 or 3 (!) square (= quadratic) white reflector lights indicate that you have reached one of the first 2 stages. At the final there are NO (!) reflectors.

1. Stage (starting point, watch out for first reflectors)

2. Stage (2 white reflectors):

At stage 2 you will receive only a set of coordinates. Type them in your GPS device and follow your electronic compass. Once you are there, start to search for reflectors. They will lead you all the way to stage 3.

3. Stage (3 white reflectors):

At stage 3 you will get the coords for the final. You are almost there.

Advice: After you have found stage 3, turn right (facing the reflectors) and walk for ca. 30 meters. You will reach the main trail and come to a crossing of several trails. You cannot miss it. It is very broad (almost an "Autobahn"). At the crossroads take the far right trail. It leads you to the final.

4. Stage and final (NO more white reflectors):

Congratulations! You have reached stage 4 and the final. Victory is almost around the corner.

Do not get lost after you have found the final! I strongly advise you to note down the coords of the place where you parked your car. As a last resort you can always go back to stage 1 with the help of your GPS device.

Important advice for all stages:

All reflectors are fixed on trees, in most cases 2 meters or more above ground level. That is why I recommend the usage of a headlamp. If you bring a normal flashlight, adjust its beam accordingly.

If you do not find the reflectors right away, search around for a while. Hang in there till the end! Good things and geocaches come to those who are persistent and can wait!

Have fun! When you are all by yourself, it can become a bit spooky and eerie in these woods. Luckily, there are no angry bears here, at least not as many as on Krim wink

Good night and good luck! Lahko noč in srečno!
