Geocache Description:

The 'Oversley Trail Two' (OTT) is a straightforward 'power trail' of 41 traditional caches, no puzzles and no tricky hides, all set on two 4 mile loops along well marked public footpaths/bridleways which may be completed individually or together.

All caches are 30ml camo specimen tubes hidden to be found.

Our original Oversley Trail had been out for over five years and one or two of the caches needed a bit of maintenance so we decided it was time for a complete re-vamp.

So, here it is: The sequel. Re-routed (slightly), replaced and re-listed.

The first loop (1-24) is around the outskirts of Oversley Wood and has been a favourite of ours for many years with our 2 Labradors. The route is along well marked footpaths and bridleways and only has one stile (not dog proof). At different times of the year you will encounter sheep, horses and cows in some of the fields but these have never been a problem.

The second loop (25-41) is also along well marked footpaths and bridleways and has only two stiles which are possibly not dog friendly.

The whole route can be very muddy at certain times of the year so sturdy boots or wellies are recommended.

Roadside parking is possible near #1 in the hamlet of Oversley Green or in the car park at Oversley Wood near #10.

After #41 continue along the footpath and turn right after the stile, follow the path to the footbridge to cross the busy A46 and return to Oversley Green.
