Big Marine is great lake for fishing, skiing, tubing, and of course, island caching.
Follow the link for more information about Big Marine Lake.
This geocache is on a nice island in the center of Big Marine Lake. Use caution if approaching in a motor boat, as the rocky areas that make for good fishing, make for tough motoring. Also, I am not familiar with ice conditions on this part of the lake. I recommend canoeing.
Effective 08-12-2019 a TOTT is now required to retrieve the cache. Look up. It is easier to find but not easier to retrieve.
Access can be gained through the DNR North PWA (free), the Big Marine Park Reserve launch (fees and day access only), or the DNR South PWA, which is also subject to park rules.
The parking listed is for the south PWA, which is closest to the cache.
