Diese kleine Serie soll euch die Krastaler Skulpturenstraße näher bringen die sich Treffen bis Puch erstreckt.
Alle Caches befinden sich in der näheren Umgebung der Skulpturen und es ist fast überall problemlos möglich das Cachermobil zu parken.
Auch an dieser Stelle sind mehrere Kunstwerke zu bestaunen. Hier befindet sich zum Beispiel die Skulptur „Tree, Two, One“ von Guy Baekelmans.
Skulpturen durchs Krastal "Vom Fluss zum See"
Die Skulpturenstraße "Vom Fluss zum See" ist 2004 als EU-Leader-Projekt nach Plänen des Architekten Peter H. Schurz angelegt und 2005 fertiggestellt worden. Die künstlerische Leitung hatten die Bildhauer Michael Kos und Egon Straszer inne.
Die Skulpturenstraße verbindet mit derzeit 15 Skulpturenstationen die beiden Gemeinden Weissenstein und Treffen, also das Drautal mit dem Gegendtal entlang der Landesstraße durchs Krastal.
Die erste Station liegt an der Drau, direkt am Drauradweg, die letzte an der Einmündung zur Bundestraße (Treffen). Im Gemeindegebiet Treffen zieht sich jedoch der alte Bestand der aufgestellten Skulpturen bis nach Sattendorf, also bis zum Ossiachersee hin.
Großformatige bis monumentale Werke von 27 in- und ausländischen KünstlerInnen, die bei den Internationalen Symposien im Krastal zu Gast waren, sind in die neue Skulpturenstraße integriert. Im Treffener Gebiet kommen noch ca. 35 weitere Skulpturen dazu.
Diese Region ist also sehr markant durch die Resultate des jährlich stattfindenden Skulpturensymposions gekennzeichnet, zumal noch der neue Kreisverkehr nach der Autobahnabfahrt als Tor zum Gegendtal bzw. Ossiacherseegebiet im Jahr 2007 mit 3 weiteren Skulpturen bestückt wurde.
Sculpture in the Krastal Valley: "from river to lake"
The Sculpture Path "from river to lake" was created as an EU-Leader Project in 2004 according to a concept by architect Peter H. Schurz, and was completed in 2005. The artistic direction was handled by sculptors Michael Kos and Egon Straszer.
The Sculpture Path's 15 sculpture sites at present connect the local council areas of Weissenstein and Treffen, thereby connecting the valley of the river Drau with the Gegendtal valley along the local road through the Krastal valley.
The first site lies on the banks of the river Drau, immediately on the Drau Cycle Path; the last site is at the junction with the main national road at Treffen. In the municipal area of Treffen, however, there is also an older path of sculptures stretching all the way to Sattendorf, and therefore to the Ossiacher Lake.
Large-scale and monumental works by 27 sculptors from Austria and abroad, created during the International Symposia at Krastal, are integrated into the new Sculpture Path. The Treffen area contains a further 35 works of sculpture.
The whole region is therfore distinctively marked by the results of the annual sculpture symposia taking place there, especially as the new roundabout at the motorway exit, forming a gateway to the Gegendtal valley and the Ossiach area was enhanced with three additional sculptures in 2007.
