A traditional cache to celebrate the first same sex marriage in Australia by locals Alan and Joel.
Small tin with room for pathtags and little swaps
The ACT Legislative Assembly passed the Marriage Equity Bill on the 2nd of October 2013. The Commonwealth government has since challenged saying that the ACT legislation is incompatible with Federal marriage laws. The High Court overturned the decision on the 12th December 2013. On December 7th 2013, the first day the territory legislation came into effect, 46 couples married in the ACT. Local men, Alan and Joel married at one minute passed midnight at the National Carillion. Congratulations also to the WA gents Stephen and Denis who at the same time were getting married outside Old Parliament House.
Congratulations to Kaye-zee and 5Powells on joint FTF.
