Phillimore Clan: A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped to make this place just a little bit better and a special thanks to Wild4life Wanderers (Rowena) of South Gloucestershire Council who helped to make this possible. Lots of rubbish collected and fun had by all I think thanks again and hope to see you all at another CITO sometime in the future.

Geocache Description:

Saturday 26th April 2014 (10am to 1pm)

As part of Groundspeak's 2014 CITO Weekend we have organised
in conjunction with South Gloucestershire Council a CITO event
at Cadbury Heath along Siston Brook and Warmley pitch & putt.

The event will run from 10am (a short briefing) to 1pm when we will have a group photograph at the starting coordinates, followed by a picnic (weather permitting). There is a car park at the event co-ords and additional parking on local streets should it fill up.

Please ensure that you sign the logbook before starting so that we know how many volunteers are present.

There will be a supply of rubbish sacks available and South Gloucestershire Council will be collecting the rubbish afterwards. There will be some gloves and litter pickers available for loan but if you have your own then please bring them along.

If you find large or hazardous waste then please record the co-ords and a description, and let us know so that the Council can arrange collection.

General Advice:

  • Do not work alone and keep a first aid kit handy
(there will be a first aid kit provided).
  • Always wear gloves and use litter pickers.
  • Do not lift anything heavy without help.
  • Use the right tool for the job.
  • Keep the work area tidy and safe.
  • If you do not like the look of it, do not touch it!
  • Please ensure that pets are under control and children supervised.

Please note: If you take part in this activity, you do so at entirely your own risk, South Gloucestershire Council, the event organisers or Groundspeak will not be held responsible for any accidents or injuries.

Bring along a picnic and join us all
for lunch and a chat afterwards
Plenty of space for picnic blankets & chairs

Keep an eye on this listing, as changes will be made as we get more organised.
We will post an announcement message on here each time we make any significant changes.
