Ingen rädder för vargen här !
Vintern 2013 flyttades ett finsk-ryskt vargpar från Tornedalen ned till Tiveden.
Vargparet har stannat kvar i Tiveden och har under våren fått en kull med minst fem valpar.
100-130 älgar per år räknar man med att vargarna skall döda. Till det kommer ett antal rådjur samt annat på två eller fyra ben.
På Vargwebben (välj "Tiveden revir") kan du se var vargarna befinner sig idag. Om man tittat under flera dagar ser man snart att vargarna ofta uppehåller sig i det område där denna serie av geocachar är utplacerade.
Vågar du dej hit ? Vi kan inte påstå att det är helt riskfritt. All geocaching sker på egen risk !
Ta gärna med en kamera och ladda upp bilder på vargarna om du får se dom.
Vanliga frågor om denna cacheserie:
- Finns det pennor i cacharna ? Nej, det gör det inte. Tag med egen penna !
- Ligger cacharna längs en stig. Nej, det finns inga stigar där cacharna ligger !
- Hur lång tid tar det att hitta alla cacharna ? Räkna med minst 6 timmar om du skall ta alla.
- Finns det mat och dricka längs vägen ? Nej, ta med matsäck, det kan du behöva.
- Kan vi ta med oss hunden ? Ja, men ta med en bärsele att bära den i när den blir trött.
- Är skogen enkel att gå i ? Nej, detta är en cacheserie av Bo & Elisabeth !
- Kan jag gå i lågskor ? Knappast. Vandrarkängor eller stövlar passar bättre.
- Riskerar jag att bli uppäten ? Risken är störst på sommaren då myggen är framme !
- Är cacharna svåra att hitta ? Nej, det skall gå lätt att hitta dom.
- Finns det pennor i cacharna ? Nej, det gör det inte. Tag med egen penna !
- Kan man cykla till cacharna ? Nej, du måste gå till fots. Terrängen tillåter inte cykling.
- Kan man ta cacharna på natten ? Det går men passa dej för stupen !
In the winter of 2013, a pair of wolves from northern Sweden was moved down to Tiveden. The couple has decided to stay and even given birth to 5 puppies.
The wolves are supposed to kill and eat as much as 130 elks per year. In addition to that also a number of other prey on four or two legs.
You can see the whereabouts of the wolves on the Vargwebben (select “Tiveden revir”). If you watch over a sequence of days you will see that the wolves are quite often in the area where this series of caches are placed.
Do you dare to come here ? We can’t say that it is risk free. All geocaching is at your own risk.
Please bring a camera and post any pictures of the wolves if you are lucky enough to see them.

- Are there pencils in the caches ? No, there are not. Bring your own pen !
- Are the caches placed along a trail ? No, there are no trails close to the caches.
- How long time will I need to find all the caches ? Expect to spend at least 6 hours in the forest
- Is food and drinks available ? No, you will have to bring all you need.
- Can we bring our dog ? Yes you can, but expect to carry him/here when he/she gets tired.
- Is the terrain like “a walk in the park” ? No, this is a cache series by Bo & Elisabeth !
- Can I walk bare footed ? No. Walking boots or rubber boots are better suited.
- Do I risc to be eaten ? It’s more likely in the summer when the mosquitos are hungry.
- Are the caches difficult to find ? No, you will find them easy to find.
- Are there pencils in the caches ? No, there are not. Bring your own pen !
- Can I cycle to the caches ? No, you have to walk. The terrain is not suited for bicycles.
- Is it possible to find the caches when it's dark ? Yes, but be careful so you don't fall off a cliff !
