SK : Táto budova patrí v Bratislave k najvýznamnejším mestským objektom začiatku 20. storočia. Základný kameň bol položený 8. augusta 1920. Novostavba bola slávnostne otvorená o tri roky, 8. – 10. decembra 1923. Architektúrou sa budova zaraďuje do modernistického hnutia, s vplyvom anglickej tehlovej architektúry. Badať v nej aj prvky dekoratívneho experimentovania. Projekt budovy bol vypracovaný českým architektom Aloisom Balánom.

EN : This building in Bratislava is one of the most important urban facilities which comes from early 20th century. The foundation stone was laid on 8th August 1920. New building was inaugurated three years later, 8 - 10 December. Architecture of the building belongs to the modernist movement with the influence of english brick architecture. The decorative elements of experimentation can be also seen. Building project was developed by czech architect Alois Balan.
