O Reduto ou Forte da Má Ferramenta localiza-se no lugar do Bravio, freguesia de São Mateus da Calheta, concelho de Angra do Heroísmo, na costa sul da ilha Terceira, nos Açores.

DATA DE CONSTRUÇÃO

Desconhece-se a data precisa em que foi erguido. Provavelmente durante o século XVI.

MISSÃO

Defesa da baía do Fanal.

TIPOLOGIA

Do tipo abaluartado, a sua planta evoluiu do característico forte quinhentista, trapezoidal, com quatro canhoneiras.

 ESTADO ACTUAL

A estrutura encontra-se atualmente em ruínas.

LOCATION

The Bad Tool Fort is located in place of Bravio, parish of São Mateus da Calheta, municipality of Angra do Heroismo, on the south coast of the Terceira island  in the Azores.

DATE CONSTRUCTED

It is unknown the exact date on which it was erected. Probably during the sixteenth century.

MISSION

To defend the Fanal bay.

TYPOLOGY

Fortified with bastions, with four cannon firing holes.

PRESENT STATE

The structure is currently in ruins.
