The Trinity Methodist Church in Chelmsford was originally located in the High Street, close to what is now Cater House and Morrisons.
In 1961 the church in its present location was opened and has been providing services to the local community ever since.
The Link was built in 1982 to provide additional space for meetings, services and groups and in 2000 a project was launched to extend further with the building of a lift and lobby at the front of the building and was completed in the following years.
The church plays host to many groups, including the 14th Chelmsford (Trinity Methodist) Scout Group, who have played a part in placing this cache.
