Geocache Description:

St. John the Baptist, set ‘fayrely mounted on a hyll’, is the beautiful, historic town church, of Bromsgrove, just off the M42 and M5. Bromsgrove is a delightful Market Town with St John’s church at its very heart. The church overlooks Market Street and Kidderminster Road and is accessible through Crown Close.

Length, breadth and height combine to make St John’s a highly visible landmark of cathedral proportions. Its magnificent spire sits atop a splendid tower, visible from the Malvern Hills. Ancient 16th and 17th Century tombs litter the burial ground. With its cathedralesque interior, galaxy of monuments, stained glass and layers of architectural history, it contains an almost monastic sense of peace and calm.
