Geocache Description:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This cache is placed near the Trig Point on Bromley Muir just inside the West Dunbartonshire border with Argyll & Bute. The Trig Point is placed at 307 meters (just over 1000ft) above sea level and offers fantastic panoramic views of the islands on Loch Lomond, Dumbarton Rock, and the River Clyde heading out to to sea. The surrounding area of Carman Hill has the ruins of an old fort which is slightly off the path but worth visiting.

The path to the summit can be very wet at times, so if you like to cache in high heels or trainers, give this one a miss. As always I would reccommend wearing sensible waterproof walking boots or wellies. The walk from the car park to the Trig Point and back is 2.5 miles in total and I plan to place other caches along the route.
