Geocaching event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of earthcaching.
Le 10 Janvier 2004 dans un cap à 3 heures au sud de Sydney, en Australie, la première EarthCache a été «placée» par Geoaware et ses deux filles. EarthCache I - a simple geology tour of Wasp Head en attente pendant deux semaines avant d'être trouvée par Tankengine. Le premier log dit :
"Chooo ooo *FTF* The family wanted to go to the beach today, and I thought that was a great idea! They had fun in the sand, and I went off to do the cache. It was great! Just a like exploring around the rock pools, but with a geology lesson thrown in! I’ve seen similar formations in the past, and often wondered how the heck they got to be like that, but here all was explained! Fantastic! The only minor difficulty was the initial access from the beach to the rocks, but after that it was easy going. (I think it was high tide).
Excellent cache thanks geoaware – now I’m looking forward to more…"

Deroulement de la soirée :
19H00: Vous remplissez la feuille de présence. Celle-ci vous permettra de loguer un Attended" sur la page Web (Attended: j'étais là, équivalent à un found sur une cache ordinaire, +1 au compteur)
19H05: Discussion, échange de trackables.
19H10: Participez à la photo de groupe.
19H30: Direction le restaurant (Merci de préciser votre assistance au repas).
22h00: Depart à la recherche de la cache.

Une Earthcache est un endroit spécial que les gens peuvent visiter pour en apprendre davantage sur une fonctionnalité unique de géoscience ou un aspect de notre Terre. Les Earthcaches comprennent un ensemble de notes éducatives et les détails sur où trouver le lieu (latitude et longitude). Les visiteurs de Earthcaches peuvent voir comment notre planète a été façonnée par des processus géologiques, comment nous gérons les ressources et comment les scientifiques recueillent des preuves pour en apprendre davantage sur la Terre.
Une EarthCache fournit une leçon de sciences de la Terre à travers la visite d'un site géologique unique, et se concentre généralement sur un aspect du site. La description et les tâches se combinent pour enseigner la leçon et mettre en évidence ce qui est unique ou intéressant sur l'emplacement.

In the program will be TB's echange, rmeetings, material offered by Groundspeak exclusively for the occasion and the first Earthcache in Lille, and some more!
The most exciting way to learn about the Earth and its processes is to get into the outdoors and experience it first-hand. Visiting an Earthcache is a great outdoor activity the whole family can enjoy. An Earthcache is a special place that people can visit to learn about a unique geoscience feature or aspect of our Earth. Earthcaches include a set of educational notes and the details about where to find the location (latitude and longitude). Visitors to Earthcaches can see how our planet has been shaped by geological processes, how we manage the resources and how scientists gather evidence to learn about the Earth.
An EarthCache provides an Earth Science lesson through a visit to a unique geological site, and generally focuses on one aspect of the site. The description and tasks combine to teach the lesson and highlight what is unique or interesting about the location.
