The event will keep to the established KT formula of food, drink and geochat, with an optional walk around the area at around 20:00.
The Bulls Head is a traditional pub situated just to the South of Handforth. Its one of the oldest pubs in the village, being mentioned in records dating back to 1828. It is believed that the Bulls Head is named after one of Handforth's most famous families and takes its name from the Brereton family crest. Sir William Brereton was commander-in-Chief of the Roundhead forces in Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
The menu hopefully offers something suitable for everyone who wants to eat.
For those looking for an overnighter, there is accommodation available close by.
The event will follow the tried and tested order of play, namely:
18:30 - Meet at pub for beer, geochat and food.
20:00 - A walk in the surrounding area.
21:00 - More Beer and geochat.
??:?? - LTL!
The pub is more than happy to accommodate well behaved geo-kids! They are not that keen on geo-dogs with there being lots of food served.
Please help me by logging your attendance in good time. If you note in your log the number of attendees and whether or not you expect to be eating, I can keep the pub updated and book additional space if we need it.
