Welcome to Wamunyu, home to the Kamba people who are known throughout East Africa for their basket weaving skills and exciting displays of music and dance. They are also known throughout the world for their masterful woodcarvings. Wamunyu is also the birthplace of Kenya Connect (KC), and NGO that connects students and teachers of this region of Kenya with their peers across the globe.
The KC Trail series aims to connect you with the local culture. The caches are managed by the KC Geocachers Club; a group of secondary students who meet at KC’s Learning Resource Center (KC Trail: Headquarters). You are seeking a small lock-n-lock inside Wamunyu Handicraft Coop Society. Just walk to reception office and tell the receptionist that you are here to find the cache. A beautiful locally made woodcarving awaits the FTF. Lots of other crafty goodies are available for the followers as well.
The cache is available Monday - Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
