This is a pretty trail along a stream. If there has been a lot of rain, this route may not be accessible due to flooding.
Park in the Sacas plaza. Take the dirt road leading out of town to the west. Choose the road north that leads toward the reference point listed as “road”. This will turn into a track and then a trail leading into the ravine. The cache is hidden in the ravine. If you are going on to the Shutuy Marca archeological site (GC4R9EC), then continue up the trail to the stone spire known as the “hombre” (reference point given). From here, climb straight up the mountainside (this is HARD), over the saddle in the ridge above, then across to Shutuy Marca. Note that you’ll be doing a steep climb at about 13,000 feet. If that seems daunting, you might do the circle route the other way: do the High Road cache, then the Shutuy Marca cache, then this one as the route back. That’s if you prefer going down a steep slope rather than up.
