Geocache Description:

Biograd se nalazi 28 km istočno od Zadra.

Gradić je osnovan u 10. stoljeću, a prvi put ga spominje Konstantin Porfirogenet sredinom 10. stoljeća.

U 11. stoljeću Biograd je za kralja Petra Krešimira IV. (1058.-1074.) postao sjedištem hrvatskih kraljeva i krunidbenim gradom u kome hrvatski vladari povremeno stanuju.

Župna crvka sv. Stošije spominje se također u 10. stoljeću, a nalazi se na uzvisini biogradskog poluotoka. Ispred crkve nalazi se stari bunar.
