This is a very distinctive building which was built in 1858. It replaced the former General Baptist Chapel, which had been built for a congregation moving from Little Hallam to Ilkeston in 1784.
The east front is semi-circular, and together with the sides it forms it forms a continuous arcade of fourteen bays, with tall round-arched windows in each bay. There is a triple-arched porch, with a date stone above, which partly covers the two front bays.
It is now a Grade II Listed Building.
“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication. There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
