Named after Don Tristan de Luna, the Spanish explorer who established Pensacola in 1559, Plaza de Luna is a scenic waterfront park located in downtown Pensacola with more than a quarter mile of shoreline. The park offers opportunities for fishing and bird watching, as well as an interactive splash pad that shoots jets of water up from the ground (good for kids). Plaza de Luna is also home to special events such as Sunsets at Plaza de Luna where local musicians and children’s entertainers perform in the park.
