During the Xauxa and Inca periods, there was a ceremonial center here. When the Spanish took control, they built a chapel on this site. Today, it is the chapel of Barrio Millpun. On festival days, the crosses from the Tragadro church are carried to each of the 3 chapels in the village for prayers. This location is a good spot to view the millpun below. Millpun is quechua for sinkhole. The area below surrounded by pilons is the sinkhole that drains the entire Yanamarca watershed.
