Strenous (but rewarding!) hike to one of Tahiti's highest summits.
English:
Tahiti was formed from volcanic activity and is high and mountainous. Mount Aorai is the second highest peak on the island. According to 'Moon Handbook', the climb to Aorai is the best in French Polynesia. In any case, the mountain has some nice rainforests, is wild, scenic, and steep.
The geocache is hidden at the very top of the mountain. Although a trail is leading from Belvedere to the top of Mount Aorai, only experienced and well prepared hikers should consider getting there: the one-way-distance is more than 10 km, more than 1400m in height have to be overcome, and the ridges are knifesharp so that a slip might result in a several hundred meter deep deadly fall. Aspirants for this stash need to be absolutely free from giddiness and sure-footed, and they have to plan this trip very carefully. THE OWNERS OF THE GEOCACHE WILL TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCIDENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES - EVERYONE GOING THERE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIM/HERSELF!
