Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches devoted to the early James Bond movies.  Most will be easy, because things usually come easy to Bond, but there will be a few surprises.

Congratulations to ArSoNOpTiKS for the FTF!

This cache is located along the new bikeway constructed by the City of Blue Ash along Reed Hartman Highway.  It is now possible to go by bike from Cornell Road down to the new Summit Park on this path.

It is best to approach the cache by bike, but if you drive, do not stop (or even slow down) along Reed Hartman.  People are either hurrying to work or hurrying home on this road.  There is plenty of off street parking at one of the hotels nearby.

Please see:
Bond 01 - Dr. No
for a list of caches in the series.

Movie #: 07

Title:  Diamonds Are Forever

Year: 1971

Bond: Sean Connery

Villain: Blofeld again, for the third and last time.  Played by Charles Gray (who appeared as a Bond ally in a later movie)

Woman: Tiffany Case (Jill St. John).

Song:  Diamonds are Forever, performed by Shirley Bassey

Memorable characters:  Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd.  Unforgettable characters, but this aspect of the movie would never be made this way today, thankfully.

Memorable stunt: Moon buggy chase through the desert.

Memorable quote: Alimentary, Dr. Leiter.  (Felix asks Bond where he has hidden the diamonds--they are inside the body of his "brother" for smuggling back into the States)

After the George Lazenby debacle, Sean Connery returns to play Bond in this film, which has a lot more humor than the earlier films.  Connery afterwards declares he will never play Bond again--an intention which he will find difficult to keep.
