The venue might be a little off the beaten track - it is chosen for the dark skies. Ideal for stargazing!!
To celebrate the Geocaching in Space event, Ashford Astronomical Society will be putting on an astronomical event for interested geocachers. Stargazing will be taking place outside, so wrap up warm. All manner of astronomical objects can be seen in the autumn sky, and with tame experts on hand you may see anything from a shooting star to a real one. Children will be very welcome, but please supervise your children as they may well trip over tripods in the dark. Also please do not bring torches as they ruin your night vision
Telescopes will be set up from 7pm to 9pm, weather permitting. Food is available in the pub, from bar snacks to full meals; if you wish to dine please make arrangements direct with the World's Wonder on 01233 732431
All attendees will be eligible for the "Geocaching in Space" souvenir. For further details of this click here
Bring trackables to swap and visit; we will have a list of TBs that have visited (courtesy of http://www.tee-bees.co.uk); make sure you can log these wen you get home - see the organiser if you are at all unsure.
