Geocache Description:

Update January 2019. Changes to take place as of Easter 2019.

I adopted this series four years ago and have done my best to maintain it; however this has become increasingly difficult with a couple of stretches being particularly problematic due to caches going missing and also to obstruction of the Right of Way / poor footpath maintenance.

With a great deal of reluctance, I have decided to reduce the number of caches in the series.

Jessica Jaunt 26, JJ27, JJ28 and JJ29 now archived. If the Public Footpath is further blocked then I will also archive JJ30 on the northern leg.

JJ15 now also archive. JJ16, JJ18 and JJ31 to JJ38 - as and when these become muggled / damaged / go missing they will be archived also.

JJ39 to 45 - will stay in situ possibly being spun off as separate linear series.

The Jessica Jaunt Shortcut caches will then complete the loop the southern caches - making a shortened JJ circular series (plus the spin-offs).

Jessica’s Jaunt was originally a series of 70 caches, starting close to 01 Rabbit Ramble, and heading towards Sedgebrook, and Allington a walk of 10 miles. It is possible to do them as two separate rounds by turning right along the railway line after cache No.13, and collect the Jessica shortcut caches. A variety of cache sizes, but most of them are small. The route crosses the A52 twice, so take care there. Several parts of the tracks had deep ruts, so not suitable for buggies, push chairs, or cycling. The terrain is fairly flat, but I guess it will get muddy in wet weather. There are also other caches along the route to collect, including two church micros. So there you are, take care, and have fun. PS I am sure you all know who Jessica is, all that is except poshrule, but if there is anyone else. Jessica Rabbit is Roger Rabbit's human Toon wife in the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Jessica is one of the most famous sex symbols on the animated screen. There, and I thought that was me. Roger-rabbit. PPS You will need to bring a pen to sign most of the logs. 3rd January 2015 - Many thanks to Roger Rabbit for setting out and maintaining this series. I have agreed to adopt this series and maintain it. I am temporarily not quite as mobile as normal and therefore working my way round the series again in small chunks to sort out any issues. If a log is full and you have a spare it would be much appreciated if you would change it and make a note of it in your log - equally if any caches are in need TLC (tender love and care) please let me know the nature of the maintenance and I will then prioritise it - I really would appreciate it however if caches were not replaced in the event of a DNF - please log the DNF and I will check it out - thank you. Once again many thanks for the series Cliff and thanks in advance to future cachers. PS. The Jaunt starts along the abandoned railway line so don't follow the canal tow-path for #1 and subsequent caches Update September 2018. I'm afraid that it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to maintain this series. I will try and sort out the ones that are currently disabled as soon as I can. However from that point on if caches go missing or beyond repair then I will archive them. I apologise for any inconvenience.
