This cache has been archived.

La Lunatica: This cache has been disabled for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches placed with kind permission of Brixworth Country Park and Anglian Water. The caches are all placed on or near to the 7 mile waterside track that runs around the reservoir. Paths are suitable for walkers, cyclists and people with disabilities, but some of the hides may require a short walk over grass. None of the hides are placed close to the water or to risk causing harm to any wildlife.

Brixworth Country Park was established in 1997 with the help of a grant from the Millennium Fund and Pitsford Water was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (or SSSI) in 1971. It is the newest country park in the county offering stunning views over Pitsford Reservoir. It is home to numerous species of wading birds and is regularly visited by ospreys on their spring migrations. In the winter, wildfowl numbers have been known to reach 10,000, with ducks, grebes, geese and swans being the most common residents. The wide variety of habitats around the reservoir also provides food and shelter for migrant birds in spring - surveys show a breeding population of 55 species.

The park is open all day, every day and admission is free. However there is a daily charge (£2.60 pay and display) for parking in the car parks. Parking can be found nearest to caches 01, 12, 13 & 25.

Most of the hides are 35mm film pot size, with a few other varied containers. Only one cache is a nano.
