Event am See / Event at the Lake — vier Jahre Geocaching Magazin / Four years of Geocaching Magazine


Event-Lokation

Nachdem wir bei unserem 3. Geburtstagsevent mit über 700 Teilnehmern den Megastatus bekommen haben, ist es an der Zeit den Event etwas mehr Mega zu gestalten. Wir haben uns daher entschlossen, den Event ab jetzt "Event am See" zu nennen und den Termin vom August in den Juli zu verlegen. Außerdem werden wir das ganze Wochenende feiern: Wir starten dann bereits am Freitag mit einer Get Together Party. Das war's aber auch schon was sich ändert. Das tolle Programm bleibt genauso, wie die vorzügliche Verkostung und auch der kulinarische Musikgenuss durch die Dicey Reillys am Abend.

Als Location dient uns auch in 2014 erneut der idyllische Badesee und Biergarten Vogel, der uns Cacher schon öfter als Gäste begrüßen durfte und der bislang bei allen unseren Treffen sehr gut angekommen ist.

After our third birthday party was awarded the mega status with a turnout of more than 700 attendees last year, it is now time to "make it more mega". We have therefore decided to rename the event "Event at the Lake" and to move the date forward from August into July. We will also extend the celebrations to last an entire weekend, starting with a get-together party on Friday evening. Apart from that, nothing will change: the great programme, good food and musical entertainment by The Dicey Reillys in the evening will remain the same.

As in the past, our location in 2014 will be the idyllic bathing lake and beer garden "Vogel", who has welcomed us cachers several times now and has always been well-liked by everyone.

Wettbewerbe am Nachmittag / Competition in the afternoon


Weidezaunkrabbeln
Luma-Paddeln
Als besonderes Schmanckerl werden an diesem Nachmittag mit Weidezaunkrabbeln und Luma-Paddeln sportliche Cacherwettbewerbe durchführen. Den Gewinnern winken viel Ehre und Hochachtung.

A special feature will be our caching sports contest in the afternoon. The winners will be awarded fame and respect.

THE DICEY REILLYS
3-stimmig, 2-gitarrig, 1-zigartig...das sind THE DICEY REILLYS, die deutsch- irische Akustik-Band aus Büttelborn in Südhessen wird uns am Abend mit ihrer Musik unterhalten.

3 voices, 2 guitars, 1 unique experience – the German-Irish acoustic band THE DICEY REILLYS from Büttelborn in the South of Hesse will perform for us in the evening.

Für alle, die mit dem Zelt oder dem Wohnmobil anreisen und übernachten wollen stellen wir um das Gelände Platz zur Verfügung.

For those of you travelling by motorhome or planning on pitching a tent, there will be spaces around the event premises where you can stay the night.

Die Event-Location findet ihr mitten im Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Mainz und Wiesbaden liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Entsprechend viel Geocaches gibt es in der Region, darunter auch wirkliche Cache-High-Lights. Der internationale Flughafen Frankfurt (30 Kilometer entfernt) und auch der Flughafen Hahn (110 Kilometer entfernt) für Billig-Airlines sind die Zielflughäfen, wenn ihr aus dem entfernten Ausland zu unserem Event anreist. In der angehängten Liste findet ihr ein Zimmer in einer Pension oder einem Hotel.

The event is located centrally within the Rhine-Main region, not far away from the cities of Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Mainz and Wiesbaden. The cache density is high and includes some veritable geocaching highlights. Foreign cachers travelling to our event by plane will find Frankfurt Airport (FRA) conveniently located at 30 kilometres (19 miles) distance and Frankfurt Hahn Airport (HHN), which is serviced by low-budget airlines, at 110 kilometres (68 miles). The attached list provides a selection of guesthouses and hotels.
