Geocache Description:

WARNING THIS IS A NIGHT CACHE!!!
This is another hide in the Walking Dead Series that will take you to forgotten places. There is no longer anything out here or is there? Have changed it a bit cause folks were having a problem finding the correct trail to the cache.Go to these coords to find the trailhead N 41 54.696 W 71 32.126

The listed coordinates will now bring you to the grove. Drive to the parking coordinates to a pull off with room for 4 or 5 cars, traffic can travel fast on 116 & it will be dark so pull all the way off the road for your own safety. Look for the orange DEM signs at the trailhead.

Follow the trails to the listed coordinates,it doesn't matter which trail just go to the listed numbers. this will bring you to a fork in the trail. There will be 3 fire tacks on a large oak tree that form a triangle at the beginning of the trailhead that leads North, it will lead you to the cache, just keep following the glowing fire tacks until you see a cross.

Headlamps & flashlights are a must & some sturdy footwear wouldn't hurt. The terrain rating is for the trail that can be challenging at night. During the vetting process we have never come across another soul on these trails.

Follow the same trail back to your car & stop looking over your shoulder. Don't forget to take some pictures.

Hunting is allowed in here so be aware of deer season. Even though hunting is only allowed from dawn till a half hour after sunset & is not allowed at night it wouldn't hurt to use caution so please 200 square inches of day glow orange above the waist in season, if not for anything else it will help the Zombies see you better, Zombies love orange.

DEM says area is okay to hike in until 11 p.m.

This wooded area located along the George Washington Highway (Route 116) northeast of the Stillwater Reservoir is the site of a roadside picnic area built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. The Grove encompasses a place overlooking the Woonasquatucket River that has been important in Native American culture for thousands of years.
