The Crazy Cacher is constantly on the lookout for new caches. On one of his cache hunts he met Fenek, the rabbit and they immediately became best friends. On one of their caching tours they decided that it is time that they should create a cache together. It should be a mystery cache and it should be sitting in a nice place. However, they could not agree on a hide! When the Crazy Cacher wanted to place it on an abandoned building, Fenek found it too dangerous. When Fenek wanted to place it in a wall, Crazy Cacher said, that it was a very bad idea as the wall would get destroyed. And so it went forward and backward and no agreement was found.
Finally the Crazy Cacher had a great idea. They decided on a route through Malta from Ċirkewwa to Birżebbuġa which passed through Mosta, Valletta, Rabat, Hagar Qim and many other places. Fenek would start in Ċirkewwa in the North with his skateboard and the Crazy Cacher would start in Birżebbuġa in the south with his bicycle. Now they drove towards each other. On the spot where they were going to meet, they would hide the cache!
And so it happened. They started in the same moment and met somewhere along the road and hid the cache right there. When they rested and drank their Kinnies and ate their pastizzis, Fenek started to calculate a while and told the Crazy Cacher:
“Look, the entire length of our route is 49.8328 kilometres. My average speed was 8.6533 km/h, which is quite good for a skate boarder with all the hills! Your average speed was 21.55112 km/h, which is perhaps not that overwhelming for a biker.”
The Crazy Cacher replied:
“Don’t you worry about my biking speed! It was tough enough with all the cars stealing my right of way! But anyway, why did you calculate all this?”
“What do you think, Crazy Cacher? It will help the other cachers to find our cache! They just need to have the right idea!”
