Volta dos Tanques Traditional Geocache

Os socalcos agrícolas são estruturas que contrariam a natureza dos declives e permitem ao homem desenvolver as actividades agrícolas nos locais mais inóspitos. Ao mesmo tempo, através da permeabilização do solo previnem o desencadeamento de riscos naturais, como movimentos de terra em vertentes.

Conseguem imaginar o esforço que está por detrás de tudo aquilo que encontram neste lugar? Fechem os olhos e tentem imaginar estes terrenos repletos de culturas agrícolas.

São vários os lazeres turísticos procurados nos territórios rurais, fruto das condições excecionais que estas áreas geográficas oferecem. A busca de ambientes mais calmos, com capacidade de oferecer atividades de lazer, torna os territórios rurais de montanha locais muito procurados para práticas de lazer, como o Geocaching.

É assim que surge o projeto “GeocachINg Xisto”, (resultado de uma parceria entre a Lousitânea – Liga de Amigos da Serra da Lousã e a ADXTUR – Agência para o Desenvolvimento Turístico das Aldeias do Xisto) que visa dar a conhecer as Aldeias do Xisto de Góis e a Serra da Lousã, com a introdução de geocaches em percursos pedestres.

The agricultural terraces are structures that counter the nature of slopes and allow to the men develop the agricultural activities in the most inhospitable places. At the same time, by the permeabilization of the soil prevents the triggering of natural risks, like earth movements in slopes.

You can imagine the effort it's behind all of that you can find in this place? Close your eyes and try imagine this land full of crops.

They are various turistic leisures found on the rural areas, because of the exceptional conditions of this geographic áreas . The search of more quiet environments, with the capacity to offer leisure activities, makes the rural areas of mountain have an high demand for leisure practices, like Geocaching.

And like that borns the Project “GeocachINg Xisto”, (is the result of a partnership between – Liga de Amigos da Serra da Lousã and ADXTUR – Agência para o Desenvolvimento Turístico das Aldeias do Xisto) that have the objective make known the villages of Schist of Góis and the Serra da Lousã, with the introduction of geocaches in pedestrian trails.

Esta geocache está inserida no local que é o resultado do esforço do Homem, para criar condições para "domar" os declives das encostas, de forma a criar zonas de cultivo e a aproveitar a água existente. Este é um local com vários séculos de História, numa variante do percurso pedestre "Trilho do Baile".

This geocache it's inserted in a local which is the result of Human effort, to create the conditions to “tame” the slopes, in the way to create growing areas and take advantage of the existent water. This is a place with several centuries of history, in a variant of the pedestrian trail “Trilho do Baile”.
