Geocache Description:

De Woude is een dorp in de gemeente Castricum, in de Nederlandse provincie Noord-Holland. Het dorp ligt op een eiland in het Alkmaarder en Uitgeestermeer en is alleen per pont te bereiken. Het telt ongeveer 160 inwoners.Omdat dit mooie dorpje bij veel mensen niet bekend is, bij deze een multi om het dorp beter te leren kennen. De totale route van deze multi is ongeveer 2,5 kilometer.

De Woude is a village part of the county Castricum, en the province N00rd-Holland. This village is situated on an island in the lakes Alkmaardermeer en Uitgeestermeer and can be reached by a ferry. The Woude has about 160 inhabitants. Since this village is not known by a lot op people, this multi is to let people know this village better. The total length of this Multi is about 2.5 Km (2 Miles)

Om het eiland op te mogen dient voor een pont te worden betaald, dit is in 2020 voor een retourtje 1,30 euro per persoon.

De vragen:

WP1: A = Hoeveel personen mogen maximaal overvaren? Het tweede cijfer.

WP2: B = Wat is het op een na laatste cijfer uit het telefoonnummer van het Hoogheemraadschap?

WP3: C = Welk bier wordt hier geschonken? Amstel = 1, Heineken = 2, Grolsch = 3

WP4: D = Uit hoeveel letters bestaat de vogel waarnaar dit kerkje vernoemd is?

WP5: E = Hoeveel rode blokjes heeft de balk die rechts voor de ophaalbrug hangt, deel dit aantal door 2

WP6: F = Op het huis waar je nu voor staat (aan de overkant van het water) zie je een voertuig afgebeeld. Is dit een auto (2), een schip (4) of een paard en wagen (6)?

WP7: G = Op de grote schuur die je voor je ziet, staat in de dakpannen een jaartal geschreven. Neem het laatste cijfer en trek daar het eerste cijfer vanaf


Loop nu dezelfde weg terug en sla bij reference point N 52° 32.808 E 004°46.550 na het bruggetje rechtsaf om bij het volgende waypoint te komen.


WP8: H = Op de onderste regel van het bordje staat een tijdstip vermeld, tel alle cijfers van dit tijdstip bij elkaar op.

WP9: J = Op de sluisdeur (dus niet op de muur van de sluis) hangt een bordje met een jaartal. Neem het laatste cijfer en trek daar 1 vanaf.

To reach the Island by ferry, you need to pay. In 2020 this is for a retour ticket, 1.30 Euro per person.

WP2: B = What is the second last digit of the telephone number of the “Hoogheemraadschap”?

WP3: C = What brand of Beer is served here? Amstel = 1, Heineken = 2, Grolsch = 3

WP4: D = How many letters has the name of the bird, this church is name to?

WP5: E =How many red blocks has the bar which hangs right in front of the bridge, divide this in 2.

WP6: F = You're standing in front of a house now (on the other side of the water). What kind of vehicle do you see on the house? A car (2), a ship (4) or a wagon and a horse (6).

WP7: G = On the large barn, you see in front of you, what is the year that is written with roof tiles. Take the last digit and subtract this with the first digit.

Walk the same track back and after the bridge, turn right at reference pont N 52° 32.808 E 004°46.550, to reach the next waypoint.

WP8: H = Take the time as mentioned in the last sentence on the Sign, sum up all digits of this time.

WP9: J = On the floodgate (so not on the wall of this flood / sluis) a sign shows a date. Take the last sign and subtract 1.
